Rick Wynne is a native Californian. He grew up in San Francisco and southern Marin, attended Redwood High in Larkspur, and received his BA in Economics from University of the Pacific in Stockton and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He began his career in banking leading to the position of Vice President of Advertising and Sales Promotion at Wells Fargo Bank. In 1978 he left to establish his own business in the field of coupon/incentive marketing. He continues as the CEO of Wynne Direct Marketing which provides print and digital advertising for local businesses via the blue Valpak envelope,, and private label internet advertising services. In 2005 Rick and his wife Patsy moved from Tiburon to Sonoma and became instantly involved in the community. Rick joined the Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley (having been a long time Rotarian in Marin) and shortly became Fundraising Chair, a position he held for 4 years during which the Club raised the funds to seed the work on what would become the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall at the Sonoma Community Center…the performance home of Sonoma Arts Live of which he is a Board Member. Rick can often be seen on stage emceeing major fundraising events for many of the Valley’s non profits, and on the Fourth of July an announcer or judge for Sonoma’s fantastic parade. Rick believes that KSVY is one of the significant pillars of the cultural experience in the Valley along with The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, the active Sonoma music scene, and Sonoma Arts Live.
