The Mason Sisters raised their kids right. My Mom and her sister Doris were a Big Band/Swing vocal duo that entertained the troops during WWII and later sang in the clubs in L.A. and New York in the late ’40s and early ‘50s. If you grew up in their homes, the sweet sounds of jazz were playing on that old RCA turntable around the clock.
It’s now my pleasure to bring you the sweet sounds of Jazz Fusion, a genre Miles Davis conceived and promoted in the late 1960’s, when traditional jazz had faded from the national spotlight. We’ll listen to Miles, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, Brian Auger, and many other great artists from the late ‘60s through the early ‘80s. So lean back...relax...and open your mind...
