Dave Robbins: Grew up a British army brat, traveling the whole time from the Far East to Germany and a lot of places in between, changing schools almost yearly. For years after graduating at 16 I spent my time wandering from one rock concert to another, The Isle of Wight, Hyde Park, Knebworth. I had wild days as a biker ,spent time at a Buddhist Temple and studied martial arts for a short time in Holland . I have lived in Sonoma Valley for 23 years and Cal for 26. I am a writer, poet, guitar player, am involved with Sebastiani Theater’s Witchy Poo every Halloween as Skeleton Jack. I have worked in nearly every field imaginable including a stint with Virgin Records during the New Wave renaissance in the late 70s where I got to hang around with people like the Sex Pistols, Clash etc. Over the years I have seen everyone from Hendrix to Bob Dylan, the Doors, Pink Floyd, the Stones etc. My strongest influence and near obsession is Dylan, but there are many others. Gary Snyder, Dylan Thomas, I have experienced almost everything and keep my eyes and ears open. I am a fixture at the Fitness Factory where I work out every day possible.


On my radio spot I only play non-mainstream music or poetry, you will never hear The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, U2, not ever, NEVER!!!! I play music from locals, overseas, The Shop shows, obscure tracks from better known artists but no hits. I have had excellent music sent to me from Australia and UK amongst other places that won’t get played anywhere else. Have you ever heard of Flipron from UK, Polar Sounds from Australia; Hugh Magowan USA.; Noah Churchill, Sonoma; Don't Die Cindy, FL. These are some of the examples to be heard and enjoyed late Tuesdays. The genre doesn't matter; the art is paramount. March to the beat of your own drum.
