Michael Coats roots are firmly planted in rock and roll and radio. He became involved with the San Francisco music scene in 1977 when he went to work for music entrepreneur Jeffrey Pollack at his nightclub, the Old Waldorf. It was there that he met some of his favorite DJs from San Francisco's renowned underground radio station KSAN. Hanging out with them at the station, he learned everything he could while getting an insider's view of the workings of a radio station.
It was Michael's early involvement in the San Francisco music scene that led to the start of his public relations career. He now owns Coats Public Relations, a full service public relations and event marketing firm. In the beginning, the focus of his firm was the entertainment industry, specifically rock and roll, radio, and event management. He has represented the Doobie Brothers, Night Ranger, Hot Tuna, Jefferson Starship, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, and many others.

Michael Coats' radio show delivers good rock and roll, and lots of it. Between sets, Michael and a cast of regular guests banter back and forth on a variety of local topics and issues. It's edgy, it's fun, and it's always entertaining.

Mr. Pickles was born in Napa, California, a sweet-faced baby despite his pale green skin. He graduated from Napa High School in 1972 and is remembered even today as the boy “most likely to soak in brine.” He met and married Mrs. Pickles twenty-three years ago (and counting), and “loves her as much today as the day (they) married.” Together they share five children—all full-grown dills—and five grandchildren. Though the grandkids are baby dills yet, they’re full of the family vinegar, and Mr. and Mrs. Pickles couldn’t be more proud. He lives under the oaks in Lower Lake, California, with his wife and their dog and cat.
Friends with co-host Michael Coats for fifteen years, their radio style reflects the natural synergy of their friendship. People sometimes ask whether they practice their “shtick”, but it’s 100% natural, guaranteed. Just the lovely synchronicity of like minds at work. Coats and Pickles. Pickles and Coats.

Jobsite Jeff is a homeowners nightmare…he finishes his work on time. Known for his thorough safety meetings every day at 4:20, Jobsite has a keen sense of timing, unless he forgets.

He lives with Mrs. Jobsite in Marin County; he makes a lot of money. His relationship with Michael Coats goes back to their daze in the music business touring with the Doobie Brothers where he acted as road manager and babysitter. After several years of road weary travels he decided to settle into the good life of Marin County construction and barking orders.

He is a vital part of the Wednesday Guys ‘R’ Five show with Coats and Mr. Pickles with the responsibility of news and safety meetings. He is also a ferocious fire builder and a charter member of Church of Man.
