Readings From Readers'
with Lilla and Andy Weinberger

Sundays 7 pm to 8 pm

Lilla Weinberger and her husband, Andy, started Readers' Books in Sonoma in
1991. Their goal was to create a community bookstore that would be "a gathering place for booklovers of all ages." Author readings and signings have been an important part of the store for many years.

Lilla's program, "Readings from Readers'" consists of pre-recordings of all the readings at the bookstore. Authors such as Michael Cunningham, Tracy Kidder, and Deepak Chopra are just a few of those who have come to Sonoma to present their new books. Subject matter can range from health to history, from self-help to memoir. Cooking and wine are also frequent topics.

Lilla brings to bookselling her experience as a community organizer and activist in the women's movement, her work as a speech writer and researcher at the Library of Congress, and a lifetime of avid reading. She has served on the boards of the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association and the American Booksellers Association.
