A New Era of Listening at KSVY

At KSVY, we believe community radio should feel alive, local, and always within reach. Over the last few months, our team has been hard at work expanding the way you connect with our programs. Today, we’re excited to share a major step forward in making your favorite independent shows easier than ever to enjoy — anytime, anywhere.

Until now, listeners could access our 30-day public archive to catch up on missed broadcasts. That system is still in place, and we’ve polished it to be clearer and easier to browse. But now, we’ve lifted the experience to a whole new level.

Each individual show page on our website now features on-demand access to the last two weeks of episodes, all in one place. That means your favorite KSVY programs are only a click away — whether you're listening on your laptop at home, scrolling on your phone downtown, or tuning in from across the country on an epic road-trip. No scrolling through the calendar. Just visit the SHOWS tab at ksvy.org, pick the program you love, and press play on the archive links at the bottom of its page.

Also, every show page now includes real-time playlists, so if you missed a track ID mid-groove, you can head right to the show's page and find that artist, album, or song you fell in love with. For our music fans, curators, crate-diggers, and curious ears, this is a huge leap forward.

This is community radio evolving in real time — and we're only getting started.

Behind the scenes, our team is currently testing a brand-new app on a beta platform. Think of it as an entirely new digital wing of KSVY — modern, intuitive, and built for deeper engagement with our stories, sounds, and community voices. It's coming soon, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Innovation doesn’t always come from the biggest media companies — sometimes it comes from a small but mighty local newsroom fueled by creativity, grit, and heart.

We are proud to be a listener-supported, independent community station, rooted in the voices and culture of Sonoma Valley and the Bay Area. We are not driven by algorithms or national playlists.
