The Wednesday Guys @ 5 include Jobsite Jeff Mills, Martin Howard aka Dr. Pickles and Michael Coats.

We have held this time slot for nearly 20 years and enjoy the ride. We have run the gamut of celebrity interviews, serious reporting (2017 live fire coverage), shouting out to the community and its comings and goings plus playing the best music of any show. Why? Because we play it all. Whether rock n roll of all types, soul and blues on the weekly Soul Patrol segment by Dr. Pickles, or new fun Americana by Jobsite Jeff and of course the hits steered by Michael Coats.

Briefly, Jobsite currently owns a construction company specializing in high end homes and restaurants. He hails from Marin County where he was bitten by the rock bug in high school and turned that into decades of working with some of the biggest Northern California bands including a three-decade run with the Doobie Brothers, Jefferson Starship and others. It was with the Doob’s he met Michael Coats whose rock career path included the same nearly three decades with the Doobie’s as Jeff.

Also bitten by the rock bug in school, Coats went on to form two public relations firms which is still his day job. Bill Graham was a client where he honed his public assemblage career, as was CBS radio where he picked up his radio knowledge and helped launch Sarah and Vinnie on Alice and helped put Live 105 on the air. Coats was also one of first four employees at B.R. Cohn Winery where he helped launch that winery in 1984. It was around that time Martin came into the picture.

Dr. Pickles as he is affectionately known was the long-time employee of St Francis Church and school in Sonoma where he oversaw everything until his retirement. He leans into everything including his double term as president of his HOA, is a master fisherman, plays a mean game of horseshoes, leads the weekly Soul Patrol and occasionally bursts into song with his pitch perfect tenor voice.

The Guys also lead a fun group of like-minded friends in an informal, if not crazy group called the Church of Man. No religion, just annual get togethers of debauchery and skull drudgery  in the high Sierras and the coast. Thanks for tuning in!
